Atrium Ljungberg conducts large letting to Svenska Spel in Slussen

Atrium Ljungberg has signed a contract with Svenska Spel, which will move its office to the iconic Glashuset in Slussen. The lease contract comprises more than 2,500 m[2], and Svenska Spel will move in during the first half of 2025.

Svenska Spel was founded in 1997 following the merger of Tipstjänst and Penninglotteriet. A state-owned gaming company, it offers popular games such as Triss, Lotto and Stryktipset. Svenska Spel is Sweden's largest sports sponsor and supports both recreational and elite sports programs. The Group has approximately 1,100 employees, and its head office is in Visby. In March 2023, Svenska Spel inaugurated its newly renovated office on Gotland, and in 2025 a corresponding change will occur in Stockholm with a move to new premises to meet the demands of the business for a modern and flexible workplace.

“The other members of Group management and I are very pleased with the choice of Svenska Spel’s new office in Stockholm. It meets our needs for a modern and flexible workplace. We are convinced that this will be a place people will want to come to,” says Erik Strand, President and CEO of Svenska Spel.

Atrium Ljungberg is one of the largest property developers in Slussen. In addition to Glashuset, the company is developing Katarinahuset and Sjömansinstitutet as well as other land allocations. The company will also develop the future project Mälarterrassen and the retail hub that will connect the underground with the new bus terminal and the Saltsjöbanan train line. As Slussen nears completion, demand for office space is also increasing. Katarinahuset is basically fully let with tenants such as Gullers Grupp, Nova Consulting Group, and Sony Music Sweden AB. In the autumn, the co-working company A house will also open its second location in Atrium Ljungberg’s property portfolio.

“We are very excited to welcome Svenska Spel to Glashuset. Slussen has always been one of Stockholm's most symbolic meeting places, and we are pleased to see that it is regaining this position,” says Annica Ånäs, CEO of Atrium Ljungberg. “It is our vision to create an attractive mix of exciting food concepts, hotels and modern offices. Svenska Spel is one of Sweden's most well-known companies and fits in well with the other strong brands at Slussen,” concludes Annica Ånäs.
